WK 1 Creative Commons

Creative commons has been developed to keep people out of trouble and gives the creator a way to keep his or her identity and share their work. Today with the world so connected, Creative Commons has been able to share with communities from Boston to Belize. The way it is set up it allows users to know exactly how to use the work without the painstaking task of contacting lawyers.
The original creator of the work is able to set the parameters in this new world of remix culture. Where would have been if Sousa were able to persuade the people of his time that the voice machine would take away people’s vocal cords. In this remix culture artists have a solution to share, create and collaborate without the pressure of having their work go unnoticed.
With the increasing speed of the Internet and the always-evolving Web 2.0 tools, Creative Common gives the user four ways to protect their content. Each is designated by a symbol for clear expectations.
